But in jail last night

CANNON, NATASHA HELLEN
Birth Date: 07/30/88
SG3-3-12(X)
ALCOHOL- MINOR POSSES

It is time to start treating our adults like adults. Natasha can vote, join the police department that arrested her, be killed in Afghanistan, but she MUST NOT HAVE A BEER at spring break.

I know this is an odd topic to speak out about. I don’t drink. I live in a community where drinking is largely looked down upon.  It is the principal of the thing. She is an ADULT.  She should be treated as such.

If she is an adult then she should comprehend and obey the laws that are in place. Does she not share any responsibility for her arrest? Do you know the circumstances? Maybe she was drunk and acting the fool in public.

Change the laws if you don’t like them. Petition the city council to redirect the police priorities if you think their time would be spent better elsewhere.

I’d like the law changed, yes. And I’d like our police to focus on real problems.

Neither will change. The police and their city masters want the money. Prudes think they do us all a favor banning everything. And most people just don’t give a damn because it isn’t their kid (yet).

Hey I grew up in New York and 18 is the age – no I do not drink. Yes it is your right since you can be drafted and drink a beer in the barracks…..

Keep an eye out. This girl will be on the arrest page many more times. I agree that with your main point that she can vote and be drafter ect. BUT maybe the police can give this dumb ass enough tickets that she wakes up and realizes that she should not do this. I think this ticket and the many other tickets this young lady has got are for the best. she needs a wake up call and are you going to give it to her?

I was an underage drinker. You have to be doing something or be in a bad situation to get in trouble. The fact that you were drinking is not going to get you the ticket.

I never got in trouble and I was responsible. It can be done.

  5. Ken Says:

Scot – I don’t know the exact situation of her arrest. All it says is “under age drinking”. If it was something else, charge her with that. If not, then she is a grown up by all other standards, leave her alone.
